Donation of Lee Man Tat Bio-Medical Science Library in Tsinghua University

In 2003, in support of the training of medical practitioners and medical science researchers in China, Lee Kum Kee made donation to Tsinghua University to build the Lee Man Tat Bio-Medical Science Library. The library was opened in 2006 and has since played an active role in nurturing high-level medical scientists. Group Chairman Mr. Lee Man Tat was also appointed Advisory Professor of Tsinghua University and invited to give a lecture to share his insights on “Considering Others’ Interests”, harmony in family, and the emergence of ethnic Chinese enterprise.

In 2014, Mr. Lee Man Tat signed a memorandum with Tsignhua University to transform the "Lee Man Tat Bio-Medical Science Library" into the "Lee Man Tat Bio-Medical Science Research Centre" as a world-leading protein research platform for international research and talent development.
