How to make it

  1. Slice the hairy gourd into 3cm thick and remove the seeds with a spoon.
  2. Cook the hairy gourd in boiling water with medium heat for 6 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  3. Mix all the shrimp paste ingredients and set aside.
  4. Sprinkle the corn starch onto the hairy gourd. Spoon the shrimp paste onto the hairy gourd.

  5. Steam for 8 minutes with medium heat.
  6. Mix all the seasoning ingredients, stir with medium low heat until thickened.

    Pour the sauce onto the hairy gourd. Sprinkle with coriander.
